This website has been created in order to gain comments and feedback regarding the Handbook for Disaster Recovery Practitioners, developed under the TGLL initiative.

The Handbook, primarily based on experiences and lessons learned in the five most affected countries of 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami - India, Indonesia, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Thailand, aims at taking forward the lessons learned by culling out the key considerations under the broad subject of ‘how to’ manage post-disaster recovery and reconstruction.

The handbook on this website is still in the draft stages as of March, 2012 and we welcome any comments and inputs you may wish to make; the uploading of documents e.g case studies, articles etc. and/or images that you may would be relevant and beneficial to the handbook.

We would encourage any input you may have in order to improve the handbook.
